A Different Kind of Travel Blog

September 1, 2021

When I started this travel blog, I knew I wanted it to be different. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to travel the world. However, I didn’t want to travel alone. I wanted to share my experiences with other people. To make memories that will last forever. So, after thinking of ways I could connect with other people through my travels, I decided to start my very own travel blog.

When you Google “travel blog,” hundreds of options appear. So, I knew in order to reach a lot of people, I’d have to make my travel blog different and unique. So, I begin brainstorming. What makes me different? How can I inspire other people? And then it came to me. I decided, right then and there, that I was going to add a twist on my travel blog that you don’t find very often. As many of you know, I’m a bigger guy. A lot of people would just avoid the subject. However, I decided to embrace it and build my travel blog around it. I knew I would be able to reach a lot of people who are in my similar situation. However, that’s not the only thing that makes my travel blog different. There are three other factors I can think of that sets Big Guy Big World apart from the rest. Let me break them down for you.

Unique

Making a travel blog unique can be difficult because so many people travel to the same places. So, as I write my blogs, I try to add as many descriptive words, photos, and videos as I possibly can. My goal is to take you on a travel journey where you’ll learn about the country and culture and see how stunning and beautiful each location is. I find it difficult to sum up how beautiful these places truly are. That’s why I have a YouTube channel. Because through my videos, I can take my followers along with me. I also have a Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram, and of course, my travel blog. Big Guy Big World has multiple platforms for my followers to interact with, that way, they can always be surrounded by the beauty the world has to offer. I also want to bring positivity and light after such a hard year. I want my travel blog, and all my social platforms, to be an escape for my followers.

Generous

Another factor I wanted to incorporate into my blog was giving. I have a passion for people, and I love to give to others. I find that giving to others fills me up with love, joy, and peace. This also allows me to connect with people and make new friends! So, throughout my blog, you’ll see that I have hosted a few different contests to give my followers a chance to win a prize. I always have contests going, so make sure to constantly check in on socials, that way you won’t miss out on the chance to enter.

Authentic

The last factor that I wanted to incorporate in Big Guy Big World, in order to make it different, was full transparency and authenticity. I feel like the most genuine people are honest and open. Throughout my blog, you’ll see that I’m very honest. If there’s something I don’t like about a certain location, I promise I will tell you. I do this, not to be negative, but to prepare and guide you. This way you’ll be able to have an amazing trip. I like to reference my weight a lot also. This is how I can relate to those who are of a similar build. Being authentic and genuine is truly the best way to go about a travel blog. I just want to share my experiences with you and inspire you to see the world. My main goal throughout Big Guy Big World is to encourage you to travel now and don’t wait. Life is too short.

I can’t tell you how much it means to have you follow along with me as I travel the world. Like I said before, I love people just as much as I love traveling. So, being able to do both is a dream come true. I’ve had the opportunity to meet some amazing people throughout my journey that I never would have connected with if it weren’t for my travel blog. For that, I am forever grateful. Stay tuned for more adventures to come!
