Argos in Cappadocia: Hotel With a Village

Cappadocia, Turkey

We are exploring Cappadocia in Turkey, which is known for its distinctive “fairy chimneys.” These structures are tall, cone-shaped rock formations clustered throughout the region. While visiting this incredible place, we stayed at the Argos in Cappadocia. Interestingly enough, this exceptional hotel is built into underground tunnels and caves. This hotel and surrounding land are famous for these caves, and we got to walk through them!

Argos in Cappadocia

This hotel is situated on a unique landscape that was created by weather conditions such as wind, snow, and rain for thousands of years. This hotel was built with a love for this region and is considered the most special hotel within the land. With an enchanting history, this hotel has become one of the most popular places in the region. This hotel has been put together since 1996. The idea of the hotel originally started with just plans to build a home. However, as they began building, they discovered how much beauty there was to the land. At that moment, the plan to build a single house turned into a gorgeous hotel. Each of the rooms took years to build, as they were meticulously designed. To this day, this hotel is called, “a hotel with a village for a heart.”

They have many things to do around the hotel. We spent a lot of time exploring the underground tunnels and caves, which was probably the coolest part of this experience. We were able to capture some cool photos. They also have an excellent dining area with incredible views called Seki. Along with the restaurant, they have a wine cellar that hosts wine tastings. Or, you could just visit to enjoy a glass of wine on the beautiful carved-out terrace.

Our Suite

There are fifty-one, stone-walled rooms you could choose from ranging from standard rooms to suites. We stayed in the Splendid Suite, which was so unique. Our room was literally in a cave! The suite had so many cool features including a private pool inside the room. There’s also a living area, bedrooms, bathrooms, a private garden, and a private terrace. The suite was also cool because it had a modern loft design.

Our Experience

In conclusion, the staff was amazing and friendly. They provided us with an unforgettable time. This is such a stunning place and truly a one-of-a-kind experience. I would 10 out of 10 recommend the Argos in Cappadocia if you’re in Turkey. In other words, thank you for reading along. I can’t wait to keep exploring this beautiful place. We’re taking a hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia, so stayed tuned for that. If you would like to read my previous blogs, you can catch up here. Until next time, Mark signing off!
