Costa Rica: A Land of Coffee, Wildlife, and Midnight Mysteries
Costa Rica, a country known for its lush rainforests, rich biodiversity, and world-class coffee, gave us an unforgettable adventure. From private coffee lessons to close encounters with exotic wildlife and a thrilling midnight jungle trek. If you’re planning a trip to this incredible country, here are three must-experience adventures that made our trip unforgettable.
The Ultimate Coffee Experience at Four Seasons Costa Rica
Costa Rica is one of the world’s top coffee producers, known for its high-quality Arabica beans. In fact, the country has been cultivating coffee since the late 18th century, and today, coffee production plays a significant role in its economy.
During our stay at Four Seasons Costa Rica, we immersed ourselves in its rich coffee culture. The amazing staff provided private coffee lessons, guiding us from bean to cup. One of the most memorable moments? They created a custom Big Guy Big World coffee blend that was sold onsite—a true dream come true for any coffee lover!

A special shout-out to Jenny, JR, and the entire team at the Four Seasons Costa Rica for their hospitality. If you’re a coffee enthusiast, don’t miss the chance to indulge in Costa Rica’s world-renowned brews.

Safari Park Rio: A Wild Encounter Like No Other
Costa Rica is home to over 500,000 species of wildlife, making it one of the most biodiverse countries in the world. While known for its rainforests and marine life, Costa Rica offered us a unique wildlife experience at Safari Park Rio.
This park offers a unique safari experience, where visitors can get up close to zebras, giraffes, ostriches, bison, and many other incredible animals. Feeding and petting these majestic creatures made for an unforgettable day, reminding us of the importance of wildlife conservation. If you’re visiting Costa Rica and want an experience beyond the beaches and rainforests, this hidden gem should be at the top of your list.

Midnight Jungle Adventure in the Celeste Rainforest
Costa Rica’s rainforests cover nearly 51% of the country, offering some of the most breathtaking biodiversity on the planet. One of the most thrilling experiences of our trip was a midnight jungle trek in the Celeste rainforest.
Imagine stepping into complete darkness, with only the sounds of the jungle surrounding you—the rustling leaves, the distant calls of nocturnal creatures, and the occasional croak of a hidden frog. Walking through the dense forest under the cover of night was an exhilarating, almost surreal experience. The darkness heightened our senses, making every sound, movement, and shadow feel amplified.
Costa Rica’s jungles are home to over 140 species of snakes, hundreds of bird species, and elusive wildcats like jaguars and ocelots. While we didn’t come face-to-face with a jaguar, we did witness the magic of the rainforest at night—a moment that will stay with us forever.
Why Costa Rica Should Be on Your Travel List
With its stunning landscapes, warm-hearted locals, and endless opportunities for adventure, Costa Rica is a destination that captures the hearts of travelers. Whether you’re a coffee lover, a wildlife enthusiast, or an adrenaline junkie, this Central American gem has something for everyone.
From the luxury of the Four Seasons to the untamed beauty of Safari Park Rio and the mystique of the Celeste rainforest, our time in Costa Rica was filled with adventure, learning, and awe. And while our journey has ended, one thing is certain—we’ll be back.
