Our recent adventure took us to a breathtaking destination in Dominica 🇩🇲—a luxurious resort nestled 3.5 hours from the nearest airport. The scenic journey turned every moment into a worthwhile adventure despite the unexpected distance. Along the way, we encountered mesmerizing waterfalls, creating a one-of-a-kind experience.
A Waterfall Wonderland
The drive to the resort was an adventure in itself. Within the first 10-20 minutes, we passed multiple waterfalls cascading down lush, verdant mountainsides. Dominica’s landscape boasts the highest concentration of waterfalls we’ve ever seen, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable escape.
Nestled Near an Active Volcano
Adding to the excitement, the resort is situated near the island’s most active volcano. This unique location combines natural beauty with a sense of adventure, making it an exceptional destination. Despite only having 30 hours to explore, the experience was so incredible that we’re already planning a return trip to see more.

The Intercontinental Resort exceeded all expectations with its 12,000-square-foot pool, the crown jewel of its luxurious offerings. Every detail of the resort was designed for elegance and comfort, making our stay feel like a dream.
Our suite redefined indulgence, featuring two spacious bedrooms, one of the largest private pools we’ve encountered, a steam shower, and three outdoor showers. The suite even included a private massage room with two beds for ultimate relaxation. The resort’s commitment to exclusivity was evident, with a dedicated security waiting area for seamless service.
