Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa Food Review
Hello Travelers! In this post I will be walking through my experience staying at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Keep reading as I review my top restaurant recommendations!
To help bring a consistent approach to rating the restaurants, I will be rating each of the following on a 5 star scale, where 5 stars is the highest rating possible. The criteria include the menu, ambience, and accessibility options.
I stayed at Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa for 6 days, and overall I was very impressed. This resort is the perfect place to get away for single travelers, family, friends and work gatherings.
The first restaurant that we ate at was called Luna, located inside the main resort building on the 1st Floor. They serve a wide variety of dishes ranging from fresh local seafood to traditional classics with a Jamaican flair. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, the service was exceptional, and our glasses were never empty. The chairs were probably some of the most comfortable ones we sat in during our stay. The staff even asked if the chairs were okay and offered to change them if they were not up to our standards. I’m glad that we started our stay off at Luna, as it set the bar for the incredible dining experiences we had planned for the rest of the trip. A few recommendations from the menu: I’m still dreaming about the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, the Jamaican Spare Ribs, and the Papaya Garden Salad.

On our second night in Montego Bay, we dined at the Moonstone Restaurant. This restaurant is located on the East beach of the property, about 8 minutes walking from the lobby. The Moonstone restaurant serves Italian inspired food and it is located directly on the beach. We were seated on the patio, where our table looked out to the ocean. The view was breathtaking and I loved hearing the waves crash on the shore as we ate. The chairs were adequate, however they did get a little uncomfortable the longer we stayed. I ordered the Lasagna and it was delicious, it had a little touch of sweetness.
A quick note: during the day, Moonstone turns into a pizza cafe where you can order pizza by the slice.

Next up, we ate by the main pool at the Seaside Grille. It’s a less than a 5 minute walk from the lobby. If you like seafood, this is the place for you. Right on the beach, overlooking the ocean, this restaurant is set up mostly outdoors. They serve a wide variety of Seafood Jamaican style. I got the Coconut Shrimp and it was delicious, the shrimp was cooked perfectly and I loved the creamy sauce and pumpkin fried rice. Since this resort is an all inclusive resort, if you like something on the menu you can order as many as you’d like! The chairs were the same style as the ones at Moonstone, but the food here was my absolute favorite.

At the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa they also have a Cafe where you can get cafe style food and coffee, there is a buffet that is open for every meal, and because of current restrictions our personal favorite was ordering room service, we spent the rest of our time ordering room service, eating at the buffet and grabbing food from the Cafe. There are multiple places to order drinks around the property, the view from the Bar, right by the lobby on floor two was my favorite place to grab a drink and look out at the ocean.
I’m glad that I stayed at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa, for an all inclusive resort it’s the perfect place to get a taste of Jamaican Cuisine.
Pro Tips for our Readers: Make your dinner reservations for during your stay, right after you check in . We ate at 6:00 PM every night and that worked well for us!
Bring bug spray or ask a staff member to use some when you’re dining outside. It’s the Caribbean and those little insects are staying at an all inclusive resort too!
Until next time travelers, be safe, live a full life, be kind and help others. Can’t wait to Catch you on our next adventure.
