Jakarta: Our Stay at the Grand Hyatt Presidential Suite

During our Big Guy Big World adventures, we’ve had the opportunity to stay in some of the world’s most incredible hotels. But our experience at the Grand Hyatt Jakarta was on a whole new level. From the stunning Presidential Suite to the unparalleled service, this stay in the heart of Indonesia’s bustling capital was truly one for the books.

A Presidential Suite Like No Other

Jakarta is one of the most populated cities in the world, a vibrant metropolis known for its rich culture, modern skyscrapers, and historic sites. Nestled in the center of it all is the Grand Hyatt Jakarta, an oasis of luxury that exceeded all expectations.

The Presidential Suite we stayed in was nothing short of spectacular. This massive space included:

• A private office for getting work done (or at least pretending to)
• A massage room for ultimate relaxation
• A lavish bath featuring a golden swan faucet—because why settle for anything less?
• A private ballroom—perfect for dancing… if only I knew how!

The sheer size and elegance of the suite were breathtaking, making it one of the most memorable hotel stays we’ve ever had.

Service That Redefines Hospitality

What truly set this experience apart wasn’t just the suite—it was the incredible staff who went above and beyond to make every moment unforgettable. From Hotman (yes, that’s his real name) to Dhana, and especially Paolo, the general manager, the hospitality was next-level phenomenal.

A prime example of their dedication? When they found out the hotel didn’t carry my preferred tequila, they didn’t just apologize and move on. Instead, they searched the entire city, brought in a bartender, and had him craft the drinks exactly the way I like them. Not only that, but the bartender even stayed in the suite across from mine for my entire stay, ensuring that I always had the perfect drink in hand. Talk about VIP treatment!

(Though, I have to admit, the level of effort they put into keeping me supplied with tequila might say a little too much about my drinking habits…)

A Big Guy Big World Return in April

The best part? We’re coming back! Our next Big Guy Big World trip is happening in mid-April, and Indonesia is on the itinerary. This time, we’re bringing 250 people to stay at the Grand Hyatt Jakarta so they can experience:
