Lorenzillos: Delicious Restaurant in Cancun

Cancun, Mexico

We’ve been having such an amazing time in Cancun. There are so many fun activities, excursions, and beautiful sights to see here. I wanted to write this entry about this notable restaurant we found. This delicious restaurant is called Lorenzillos, and it had outdoor dining with a perfect view of the water. We even had an alligator swim by us, as you can see in one of the photos below!

Lorenzillos

After a long day exploring Isla Mujeres, we decided to grab a bite to eat at this amazing restaurant. Lorenzillos has been around since 1683. On May 8th, 1683, the story has it, that a pirate, named Lorencillo, and his mate, Agramont, ate at the La Villa Rica de la Veracruz, which is located on the Gulf of Mexico. The story goes on to say that the pirates didn’t enjoy the food they were served. Unfortunately, in retaliation, they pillaged and attacked the city. Today, 330 years after that attack, the name Lorenzillos is used to represent a place with the best food in the Caribbean to avoid repeating history!

The Menu

The menu is full of delicious dishes. We ordered a ton of food, and we’re very happy with everything. There’s something for everyone here because the menu included seafood, beef, chicken, salad, and pasta. They had quite the variety. We even bought nine lobsters for $1700 and then let them go!

This restaurant was amazing. The staff and service both exceeded our expectations. Not to mention the beautiful scenery you get to enjoy while indulging in delicious food. This restaurant is especially nice at sunset because you have a front row seat on the horizon. However, I still think the hungry alligator was my favorite part! In other words, thank you for joining me on this journey of traveling the world. Stay tuned for more adventures to come.
