The Hotel Colonial in Nicaragua
While exploring the beautiful city of Granada in Nicaragua, we stayed at a hotel in downtown Granada called Hotel Colonial. The hotel opened in the year 2000, so it is fairly new. The architecture, design, and decor mirror the traditional Colonial style of the houses in Granada. They say the hotel is haunted, and I believe it!
Hotel Colonial
This quaint hotel sits in the heart of downtown Granada. It’s located just 50 meters beside the Cathedral and Central Park. On June 1st, the hotel opened its doors to guests. The hotel consists of 36 rooms and 10 suites. Hotel Colonial is a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. After a long day exploring the city of Granada, you can enjoy a day at the pool, they have two available for all guests. The Hotel Colonial also offers tours, which is super convenient. Booking excursions directly through the hotel will ease some of the stress that comes with planning a trip. They also offer a transportation service to explore Granada.
Is it Haunted?
To be honest, we think this hotel is haunted! We had some of the craziest nightmares during the time we stayed here, and as soon as we left, they stopped. I’m not sure if anyone else who has stayed here has experienced anything like this. From reviews I’ve seen online, many have had said similar stories.
In conclusion, the hotel, staff, and service were very good. I wasn’t a huge fan of the night terrors, but for my followers who enjoy haunted-type things, you’ll love this hotel! Thank you for following along with me on this journey. We have loved exploring Nicaragua. There is so much to see and do, you’ll never be bored. If you have any questions or would just like to connect with me, you can send me a message here. Stay tuned for more adventures to come!
