3 Reasons I Started a Travel Blog

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to travel the world and start a travel blog. There are so many amazing sights, adventures, and activities to see and experience. So, I decided to embark on a journey of traveling the world. You may be thinking, why now? As many of you know, I started my travel journey in September of last year. I’m sure a lot of my followers are curious as to why I would start this journey in the middle of a global pandemic. Well, the answer is simple, I wasn’t going to let these opportunities pass me by. For me, life is too short to wait.
As I started to travel, I wanted a platform where I could share all of my adventures. That being said, I knew I wanted to start a travel blog. Big Guy Big World is a place where I can share all of my experiences and inspire others to travel. To influence, move, or guide, that’s how the dictionary defines the word inspire. This is exactly what I want to do through this travel blog. However, I knew I wanted it to be different than the rest, which is why I have added in a personal perspective of being a bigger guy. For this reason, I decided to name the blog, Big Guy Big World. I want to inspire everyone no matter what their shape or size is. You shouldn’t let anything hold you back from trying new things. Now, let’s get into the specifics of why I wanted to start my travel blog!
To Reminisce
Writing a travel blog, in a way, allows me to re-live these experiences. While looking back on pictures, reminiscing about our adventures, and finding the right words to describe these amazing places, I’m reminded of the unforgettable memories we’ve made. Not only have we seen some breathtaking sights, but we have also met some amazing people along the way. Sharing these moments with my followers is so special to me.
To Inspire Others
Through this travel blog, I hope to inspire others to travel the world. For some of my followers, the descriptive words paint a picture. For others, the vivid pictures capture their attention. Either way, I want others to experience this amazing world with me. And what better way than through a travel blog? There are endless adventures out there, and I want to inspire others to chase after them. I believe that this blog will help others to conquer their fears, push past their comfort zones, and try new things no matter their shapes or sizes.
To Share My Experiences
Lastly, I want to give as many tips and tricks as I can, so that if or when you decide to travel to these places, you’re prepared. Where should we stay? What is the best restaurant? Are the tours worth it? These are all questions that can make planning a trip overwhelming. Well, I want to make that part easier for you. Think of me as your personal travel guide! I want to give you a detailed insight into the top destinations, their most popular excursions, the best hotels, and, of course, the most amazing restaurants. My goal is that when you visit, you will have an unforgettable trip.
In conclusion, my main goal for this travel blog is to just be a positive light during this dark season. Following this last year, many have lost loved ones, jobs, homes, and so much more. I want to create a blog that can be an escape. A place where you can explore the world and come along with me on this journey. Whether it be from a story or a picture, I hope I can bring you joy and inspiration.
